Online shop on cloud hosting

Hi,
I would like to start online shop. Due to the cost reason, I want to take cloud hosting package. Now my questions are

How many products I can add? I think, unlimited but when user feel slowness to see the products? Please share your experience. I am planning to add in total 2000-3000 products.

There is no limitation in the number of products you can add.

You should know that according to our Terms of Service the shared plans have a CPU limit, since this is a cloud-based hosting enviroment.

You can always start with the cheapest hosting package and later upgrade to a higher one via the web hosting control panel billing section.

However the best cloud hosting solutions for online shops with many visitors/generated traffic are our Semi-Dedicated plans.

What software are you planning to use for your store? I personally would go with a VPS for an online store, but I can see the appeal of staying on a cloud based package (backups, unlimited disk space, etc)
