How social media affects keyword rankings?

Hi guys,

How did you used social media sites in your SEO or to get your keywords rank high in SERP? Does it also helps in keyword rankings? How beneficial it is in terms of this. Considering that anchor text is rarely applicable.

I don't know the answer to your question. However, I will say that social media can be used to generate traffic without the worry of SEO for your site. I mean, you have to look at social media sites almost like they are separate from the website SEO world in a way. While anchor text cannot be use a lot of the time when linking to your site from your social media accounts, you still get traffic through raw links from social media profiles. Can these links increase your rankings for your website? Maybe. But your main focus should be the traffic, not necessarily the SEO benefits. That's just my opinion anyway.
