  • Site Traffic Increase

We need to make a list of good ways to increase traffic. Not only to our RSP sites but to other sites we make.

This is what I have found to be helpful:

    1) Good meta tags
    2) ALT tags, TITLE tags, etc.
    3) SEO
    4) I post in guestbooks too

One thing that has always worked for me is press releases. Use them religiously! The primary bulk of my traffic has always been the result of press releases. Not only are they fairly easy to put together, but they also do not cost you anything.

We generate the majority of our traffic through hosting directories, our offline "Service Guide" and good old word of mouth. We also run a number of articles in the local paper to promote deals we are doing for the local community. We also leave business cards "lying around" when we go out.

What do you mean by press releases?

Anytime something newsworthy happens, we always send out a press release. Whether it's introducing a new plan, brand, pricing scheme, or what have you. It keeps you in the public eye, and shows that you're not just a has-been (like some hosts, such as Timehost, are).

Here are a few of the sites we use now, and have used in the past:

              PRWeb.com
              HostReview.com
              TheHostingNews.com
              WebHostMagazine.com
              TheWHIR.com
              Ping!Zine

For a few of them, you may have to dig a little bit to find submission info (such as TheWHIR and Ping!Zine), but it's on their site. As long as your release is news-worthy, any/all of these sites will usually run it.

RICHMOND, ******IA – June 8th, 2006 – CheapFastHost, an inexpensive Web hosting company, has been granted a Top 10 Fastest Growing Company award by HostReview.com. The company, previously known as ***************, now displays the Top 10 award symbol on its Website.

Additionally, CheapFastHost was granted a Gold Star Host award from FoundHost.com, which is also displayed on the company’s Website. While known as ***************, the company became Geek Certified.

“We are overjoyed at the industry’s recognition of our commitment to quality services and support,” stated ‘Chief Service Guru’ Daniel J. Briere. “Our goal is to become the number one Web hosting service in the world. These awards will have a positive impact on buyers, clearly showing that CheapFastHost is a serious player.”

Though CheapFastHost has ensured a tumultuous period in the recent past, the company has renewed its relationships with key partners, and plans to continue offering its services into the future.
