Which version Of windoze are you using? If you are using 7 or below you can dual boot with linux without a hassle and still access your windows partition and files with no trouble... Linux is less resource intensive so it may help you some.. I have been in your position more than several times.. Hit clivejo up for more information.. Ugghh 7 min boot times... Whew!, I never turn linux off... Just reboot with the new software updates, and Im one to be talking cuz I am nursing a flaky mouse LMAO!

I have to say that boot times with win 8 is much faster than previous versions. And I actually like Win 8 but I use the classic shell.

Not crazy about win 8 but had a chance to play with win 8 phone on a nokia lumia 520 and its impressive ill be leaving the android platform soon. smokes my motorola atrix 2 with same processor specs and the 520 has 4" screen.

Has anyone read the reviews on the lumina 1520? Quite impressive!
