  • Default Plans Upgrade?

Hello, I just wanted to know if it's possible for me to upgrade my default packages and give my clients more data storage, bandwidth while at the same time keeping the great low prices? maybe on your end you guys can raise my default packages data storage/bandwidth. of course I assume I will have to pay for these updates. please let me know the prices if this is the case.

there are a lot of hosts that have way more data storage then us and sell them at a cheaper rate. which is why I would like to upgrade my default packages to stay on the same lane as the bigger hosts.

My Package default Goals and prices:
    Business plan: $4.75
    50,000 MB Data Storage:
    3,000 GB bandwidth

    Corporate plan: $7.69
    200,000 MB Data Storage:
    20,000 GB bandwidth

    Enterprise plan:12.59
    1,000,000 MB Data Storage:
    100,000 GB bandwidth

Please let me know what I could do to achieve this goal.

    thank you and kind regards.

      Good Idea

I think that those plans would be wonderful to offer with the reseller accounts. The plans offer more space and are set at a wonderful price. You should also offer a plan called "Personal" for people that want to make a personal website. This would be a wonderful promo plan set.

thanks for the comment, yes i do think these plans are more beneficial then the default packages we currently are running. which is why am requesting that the administrator's change my default plans as i have requested above.

i take i will have to pay for these updates so that i can offer these great deals to my clients,

        best regards,

How do you seriously think you can offer 1 TB of disk space and 100 TB (!!) of transfer for the price of 12.59?? Hard drives and bandwidth costs money, you know, and it would cost you waaay more than 12.59.

Such plans are nothing more than ridiculous, and is a perfect way to ruin your reputation as a host.

I know there are hosts that claim to be offering such plans, but in reality they would cut you off long before you reach those limits. It is just numbers, they could just as well said unlimited. And you know, there are no such thing as unlimited bandwidth/space.

My advice is try to find a niche marked instead of competing with these companies.

          Just my 2 cents...

              Glad that you understand this.
Overselling is just not the way to work things out as people are getting more and more tired of overselling host.

I would be glad if RSP can lower down the price of lower range plans, like the 1GB space and 10 GB Bandwidth for let say $0.50? Maybe Milen can forward this to the marketing department.

Hayabusa, cheatfusion, I do not know if you realize, but currently 1TB (1,000,000MB) is the size of the largest hard drives available on the market. The price of 1TB PC-class hard drives is currently $300-$400USD. The price of equivalent size server-class hard drives is even higher. The retail price of 1TB of traffic per month is $300USD (you may find it cheaper, but the price would most likely still be within couple of hundred dollars per month). Even with overselling taken into account it would not be reasonable commercially to offer shared hosting plans with the above characteristics at the quoted prices.

Those plans are grossly overselling. What's the point?
