And I would like to suggest that may be RP can offer a e-commerce plan/e-shop/ that included a dedicated ip + ssl certificate + shopping cart/e-commerce cart + advertising credit/voucher as well as merchant account like 2checkout/paypal/authorise.net/worldpay etc...
And such plan doesn't need too much space,like up to 5GB would be enough but the bandwidth may be not less than 100GB...
Anyway...what do you think?

Actually you can form your own packages with the above specifications. You can resell ssl certs as well.

No,that's impossible.Try to google e-commerce plan hosting and go thru the trial host,then you will know they are more specific for the e-commerce.Their control panel just have all the e-commerce related setting,without usual hosting setting.
And there are like the combination of script installer from few shopping cart,merchant,ssl certificate,site studio and so on...
Usually the business man who is looking for the online business,they don't need too much...They just need a specific plan...
So,at this time RP would like to offer the ssl certificates,so why don't link up both and create a special e-commerce plan???

They are actually the wholesaler and we resellers are the one who should decide on which area are we specializing.

Yeah,I agree that we are the one who decide on which area we are targeting on. But,if we want to be more specialized in e-commerce plan,we should have the more specific plan which can only set up by RSP.
So, if they offer it in future, then we will have not only shared hosting plans, vps (up coming) and dedicated server (also up coming),as well as e-commerce plan which come with all the neccessary things like dedicated ip,ssl certificate,merchant account and so on.

wjleong, I do not see a point in offering a plan specifically for e-commerce. When SSL certificates are made available for resale all necessary components (except for merchant accounts) will be available and resellers would be able to create custom built plans geared toward e-commerce. I see no reason for crippling the web hosting control panel particularly for such plans. As for merchant accounts, I do not know if they could be resold, but as far as I know we do not have plans to offer such an option. However, if merchant accounts can be resold, I do not see why you could not add such an option as added value to the services that you provide as a reseller.
