  • Server to Server File Transfer......friends, plz read this

    Hi friends,
RSP should allow Server to server file transfer
    like rapidleeching

I want to upload the ubuntu .iso file on my hosting account
    i have 4500gb space.
I am using 256kbps int speed.
Normally, for this purpose, i have to first download the ubuntu file
then upload it to my hosting server.
    file size is nearly 700MB

ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO UPLOAD 700MB ON MY SPACE WHEN I AM USING 256KBPS INTERNET SPEED.

Server to server file transfer scripts will defiantly help me in this issue.
But RSP doesnt allow this script

I suggest RSP that, they should allow these scripts.
Friends, if you have any opinion, please share here.

    Thank You.

I am afraid that server-to-server file transfer cannot be allowed due to a number of reasons, security concerns included.

Furthermore, we offer web hosting services, i.e. for web sites, not file hosting. According to the Web Hosting Terms, at least 80% of all files and/or total megabytes used in each hosting account must be a part of actual, active website(s) content, i.e. all content files must have corresponding HTML or PHP files, which link to them.

It is absolutely pointless to store an Ubuntu (or any other Linux distribution for the matter) image file on a shared hosting server, as Ubuntu downloads are available from a large number of mirror servers all over the world and free CDs with the distribution are shipped to anyone who requests them.

If you want to support the Ubuntu project, which is a most honorable intention, donate to the project, purchase Ubuntu merchandise to support it or find other means.
