If I am not mistaken, the Email Manager and File Manager updates have already taken place. The others are still in progress, as far as I know.

iPhone, The Stealthy One is right. The new File Manager was launched last year and the Email Manager was improved. The remaining new services are still a work in progress.

        Hello Milen,
Yes I know those two were released / improved but you really need to update us on the progress of the new features. At least give us a percentage on how much is completed.

        Thanks.

iPhone, I always provide updates when I have them. As for the percentage of readiness of a given feature, I have not seen a company that provides such updates. Imagine how it would sound, if for instance Apple said that new iPhone is 30% ready .

It would sound good. At least we know how long to wait. When I ask most reseller hosting companys for updates, they give it to me straight away.

I can not see how giving away a percentage will do anything wrong?

If you dont have updates then request them. Don't let them say "we are working it", if they are, tell how much they've done so we get an idea on what your up to.

iPhone, I have picked Apple as an example for a reason. As you can see from the article that you have quoted, it is based entirely on market rumors and analysts’ conjecture, not official information from the company. And you would never see such information released officially by Apple. For instance, the specifications of the new iPhone 3G S were officially announced by Phil Schiller, Apple’s vice president, less than ten days before the product is expected to become available. Many other companies follow a similar strategy as well.

On the other hand, I have always shared information on new developments or progress with resellers when and if such information was available to me.

A percentage of completion is not a good way assess a time scale, 90% of an improvement could be front end (what you see) this could be completed in a couple of days, the back end (the workings) could take months to complete and tie into the front end.

And I'll add one point (which I don't mean negative against RSP in any way). RSP used to try to give time-frames for completion of features, and they were always wrong. Of course, this wasn't their fault. Either because of bugs found during testing, other issues which arose and were more important, or something else, the new features were delayed. Unfortunately, I am sure Milen can tell you how angry some of us would be at these delays! So, RSP stopped giving time-frames, which I think has worked more favorably. It means when new features do come out, we resellers are pleasantly surprised. And it also means RSP does not feel under pressure to rush incomplete new features to market.

I agree with The Stealthy One, Just sit back, relax and try to work with what you have at the moment. All new developments will probably get through faster if we don't keep bugging them every 5 minutes with "Are there any updates on so and so?"
