  • Ideas to make a better Reseller programme

I don't know if anyone else agree's but I dont think that the reseller programme is as good as it could be for the following reasons.

I believe that the resellers programme doesn't give 100% anonymity.

The legal link at the bottom of the CP, has liquidnet inside. If you do a search for this in Google you get taken to liquidnet site which is selling hosting at the same price as we can purchase it for as a reseller. Also if you do enough searching you get taken to a site that has free resellers account plastered all over it.

It would be goof if they didn't mention liquid net at all. as the terms should be between us as the reseller and our client. We should agree to another set of terms with in the main resellers panel. Other resellers account dont mention the main reseller of the product anywhere on the control panel

When you receive a email it has has urls for the CP in the email to reseller - panel .com. Again if you look for this in Google you find who the website with cheaper hosting.

With other resellers plans the url of the control panel could be branded, this way you keep the id safe.

The Url of the Control panel isn't branded.

I really think if they could fix these floors as above we would have a much better reseller programme.

What i would love to have the option of doing also would be being able to add your own payment gateway such as paypal 2checkout sage pay etc. So when the user is upgrading or renewing they are using own payment gate way and not liquid nets with the liquid net name all over it.

I understand at the end of the day they own the hosting, but there are so many better resellers plans on the market the keep the main id of the supplier behind closed doors.

I love Resellers panel for the control panel and the great service but the could really do with revamping some of the feature.

    Does anyone else agree

I agree. Lqid Net is mentioned many times. Its best to removed it as many people have ended up seeing RSP being of this .

Totally agree. I pay $80 extra per year for Private DNS [as recommended by RSP] but their retraceable Liquidnet is everywhere - stores and documentation.

Would this fix the problem and would it be acceptable to RP?

Would this fix the problem and would it be acceptable to RP?

Unfortunately, even if RP did remove all reference of Liq/net from reseller’s documentation and their own network of other websites and privately owned stores etc, it would not solve the problem entirely. With so many 'Way Back' archival websites on the net today you can go back years to trace anything that has ever been published on the web.

Besides RP advise [and probably quite correctly] that they need for legal reasons, to identify the payment processing company on resellers documentation and websites.

So there seems only one way to fix this, if RP are prepared to consider it. And that is to register a new company name as the payment processor for resellers. And this new company name is used to appear on reseller’s documentation and websites etc.

Then by starting a fresh and deliberately not published or promoting its name anywhere else on the net - no link should be traced back to RP.

            Just an idea!

I Understand that they would need to display their info is your using the payment system, but for users such as myself that isnt using the billing system or the payment system from liquid net, why would they need to have the details all over it. Other reseller providers dont do this. How can they say it has 100% anonymity when it clearly isnt.

We was going to use the api that they provided but they said it would still show there name in legal.

I have been trying to get resellerspanel to turn on my API so i can start building and testing.

They said they wouldnt do this until i placed there name in my terms and conditions and i have a working form. The whole point of using the test api is so i could build the form to work with the api. How could i have a working api while the whole point is im trying to build it.

I dont see what the point in the API is anyway as the way i see it is that no matter what we do they will always have there name some where within our site.

              This is not 100% anomymous.

Regarding the API, thats a different story. RSP need to put safety measures into place before allowing you to use the API, as well as you following the rules they set.
