I password protected my public_html directory. How would I link a file that is in that directory and NOT have a password? I basically don't want anyone seeing my index page, but still want to provide some links to local files without using a password.

Hello srnhpp,

once you password-protect a folder, all its contents are password protected, as well. There is no way to link a file from the password protected folder without the link requiring a username and password in order for the file to be accessed.
