  • 403 error

I have designed a site which has been tested on Xampp and a free webhosting server. I have uploaded it to the hosting Server by use of Filezilla but get the following error.

you don't have permission to access/ on this server.

    help please!

403 is a forbidden error message which means your host has decided not to serve you the page. This could be due to the files permissions.

In Filezillia browse to the file your trying to access, then menu click on the file and select 'File Permissions...' Next set the Numeric Value to 644 and click Ok. Now try to reload the file in your web browser
