Uhm... Not that you didn't figure that out already, but we need some more time before we launch it. It has been postponed for next week some time. We have some additional testing to do after we made some last-minute changes. I know that it is a lame excuse, but it is what it is....

Nick (Nick Blaskov, CFO) sent me a note and asked me to shed some light on the situation and the facts about the multi-currency project and the delays.
As you have probably noticed, when we launch something new there are often things that need to be smoothened and fixed afterwards. We rely on your feedback and our own testing to find all bugs and fix them on the go. When it comes to the multi-currency system, we cannot allow anything like this. This is the foundation for our entire billing system and we must be entirely and completely sure that there are no bugs and no problems no matter how small. At the moment we are performing tests on the part of the system, which calculates reseller commissions. I should tell you that the calculations turned out to be quite complex, which could potentially mean errors and as I pointed out we cannot allow this.
We tried to speed things up and several weeks ago launched the system before all checks and test were completed. We did it because the developer leading the project was going on a two weeks leave and we wanted to launch the system before that. It was a mistake and we had to bring the system offline to finish the checks and fix the bugs, which were discovered.
Now we don't want to repeat this mistake.
I would not like to tell you that we will be launching the system next week, because I may turn out lying to you, so I would just say that we are not wasting any time and we are working on this top priority project and the system will be launched at the soonest, but not before we have checked, double-checked, triple-checked etc. until we are absolutely sure that it is bullet-proof.
So hang in there, it is coming.Last edited by Oliver; 25-09-2007, 12:09 AM.

Thank you for your explination as to the delay, obviously any thing to do with money can't afford to have mistakes, and also being a programer can appriciate the time it takes to iron out the bugs in this project as it can't be left to the user as this could cost sales or even money.
I'm haning in, I'll just have to keep updating the currancey manuly to keep the UK prices correct, no hardship realy.
Your doing a great job at RSP and can't wait till this is released (even though I can wait realy, figure of speach).

neither can i. It'll be the beginnings of my sales for sure. It has been commented on several times and i've actually lost customers because the default currency is not in "our money".
Although i would prefer to have it now, i respect the reasons for the dealys. I would rather have it fully working rather than RSP doing a "microsoft" and releasing it fully before it is actually finished.
