  • .UK and .CA Domain Names are Coming Soon

We would like to inform you that very soon, Resellers Panel would start offering some new domain name extensions (TLDs) from the Web Hosting Control Panel. The word is about domain registrations with the .UK (.CO.UK and .ORG.UK) and .CA TLDs. There are many special requirements set by the registries of these TLDs and that's why it took us more time to add them to the domains' list. Here is some more information on that.

    .UK (.CO.UK and .ORG.UK)
This is the TLD for the United Kingdom. Unlike some "country TLDs" that require citizenship or local presence within the respective country, this TLDs do not have such restrictions. However, the WHOIS information management is different from that of the other TLDs that are currently on offer. WHOIS change is considered as formal transfer and there are special rules of the UK registry Nominet that must be observed and fulfilled. At the same time, the registration is possible for 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 years and renewal can be made 5 months prior to the expiration date. Unfortunately WHOIS / ID Protection service is not available for .UK domains, as well as for the most country TLDs.

    .CA
This is the TLD for Canada, and it is available for registration by Canadian citizens, individuals with permanent residency in Canada and companies under the laws of Canada. A specific requirement for the .CA domain names is that the registrant cannot change the WHOIS and thus to transfer ownership from one person/organization to another, but can change registrant's address, phone number and other contact information. In order to modify WHOIS details the registrant will have to submit a trouble ticket to the Customer Support from the Help Center in the Web Hosting Control Panel. Unfortunately the .CA registry, just like the .UK one, don't allow WHOIS / ID Protection to be activated for their domains.

As there are many rules that must be observed while registering and managing .UK and .CA domain names, the Domain Name Registration Agreement that you and your clients must agree with, will be updated.

We believe that the new TLDs will make your hosting plans much more attractive. Our next step in this direction would be to add .DE and .EU TLDs and then make available all domain extensions at the sign-up stage.
