Servers in the United Kingdom Available Now!
We are glad to introduce to your attention that starting from today, August 30, 2007, Resellers Panel starts to offer web hosting services that use servers located in the United Kingdom. Here is some more information about this new service and its management.
Location and advantages of the UK data center
The UK-based servers are deployed in the BlueSquare Data center in Maidenhead. We have chosen to deploy our server in the United Kingdom because of the growing demand from clients from the United Kingdom and Europe. We believe that the United Kingdom is appropriate place also because our head quarters are situated in London and it would be much easier to organize and manage the new service.
Set default data center for the order pages
In the Store Settings section of the Reseller Control panel we have added a Miscellaneous tab where you can select the default data center for your webstore order page. Please note that you cannot disable any of the data centers and your potential customers will always be able to make their choice while signing up for hosting services.
Data center selection on the order pages
In all order pages (including the remote order forms) we have added an option for your potential customers to select the data center according to his/her location and needs. The select button is located right under the hosting plans' pricing.
DNS and E-Mail settings
The DNS settings for the first server deployed in the United Kingdom are:
dns1.sup_remecenter10.co.uk [91.186.20.11]
dns2.sup_remecenter10.co.uk [91.186.20.12]
The mailserver settings for proper functioning of the e-mails on the UK-based servers are:
POP3 (receiving mailserver): mail.sup_remecenter10.co.uk
SMTP (sending mailserver): mail.sup_remecenter10.co.uk
We believe that this new service will make our European and UK customers happier and the success of the reseller business will grow faster.
