Basics of a SEO Mindset

The critical part of SEO is to have the right SEO mindset, and attain pointers that can assist in succeeding when it comes to free search engine traffic. I will lay out 3 important SEO mindset basics based on my experience, that many people can overlook or get wrong.


1.) Submitting your site to many Search Engines

In getting search engine traffic the most obvious thing to do would be to submit a site to many; or as many search engines as humanly possible. The fact of the matter is that you do not need to submit your site to any search engines at all. Spending time on other activities such as building internal & external links that will point to or within your website pages. Another activity would be writing good content for your site, such as seen in article marketing. In addition, you can submit to social bookmarking sites or article directories that will get more traffic. What this will end up doing is getting the search engines to indirectly index your and as a side effect rank you high with the possibility of much more search engine traffic coming.

2.) Rush to get High PR but Not Search Engine Traffic

Many are excited to get High PR, but the reality is that PR is not equivalent to search engine traffic at all. If you have a high PR site but are not targeting to a right set of keywords for seo, you will not get get the expectations you want in terms of search engine traffic. Therefore, a right seo mindset for PR is developed from people linking to your site. If web pages with a PR5 link to you, you should be able to get a PR4. And this is all that it means. A high PR page will get indexed more regularly than sites below but that is the only true benefit from high PR, thus not meaning you will get more search engine traffic to your site.

One of the best ways to get high search engine traffic is to forget about high PR as it will come slowly once you add links that point to your site. Focusing in on writing more articles, and posting valuable unique content to your blog daily with a low competition long tail keyword will have the search engines satisfied; or in other words search engines love this and will rank you a higher position.

PR 101- What PR signifies is Page Rank, and this is what Google and other search engines generally apply to each page on the web. Search Engines such as Google also apply a score between 0 and 10 to PR (page rank). Thus, new pages will typically have a page rank of 0. On a yearly basis, search engines update page rank approximately 4 times.


3.) Not needing SEO, already ranked high For My Name

Many people consider that having a specific phrase ranked high in the search engine is enough to not need SEO. For example; “Breaking the bank with Billy”. Being ranked high for specific phrases is a good thing but the fact is that the number of people searching for this specific phrase is extremely low, if any. This is why it is wise to do SEO, and to aim for much more common phrases, such as “making money online fast”, since this would be a higher aim for searchers online.


Overall, the heart of SEO is (or should be) to target keyword phrases that have lower competition. It is possible to rank high without high PR by building more internal & external links to your pages and by daily updating blog or website content. By doing this you can easily get a faster index and rank higher.

There is only one main point I have in contrast to it (and by no means meant in a bad way, nor as an insult to yourself).

I feel SEO has developed to the point where it has lost sight of the real reason it's there - to help the customer/potential customers find your site.

It has become a case of almost spamming your link here, there and everywhere just to get noticed. Afterall, how many companies nowadays look at things from the customers point of view who have little knowledge of the industry and get themselves visible in those results.

By way of clarification, I mean not everybody knows who the most reputable sites are to go and find you on. There's no confused.com style hosting finder for example.

I feel that SEO needs to be simplified to put the focus back where it is supposed to be, with the customer.

I would like to add that traffic builds on itself when you:
1. Have a site worth visiting
2. Have a reason for people to return
3. Have a reason for people to bring their friends.
4. Have a reason for people to want to link to pages on your site
5. Have benefits to being a part of the site

So often people work on SEO, and have a high bounce rate, and don't even know what they are doing wrong.

Backlinks really is one of the most important factors in ranking..and for the article thing it is much effective if it is unique cause google will neglect articles that has a duplicate content. I'm also a newbie here but I keep on studying about some important factors of SEO.

Personally I normally look for the top keywords. After a while "too many keywords in major search keyword search and see if that has changed, and if I can adjust these campaigns. My personal search engine optimization sites work for a long time, and I think I finally discovered I get there on a daily basis for more keywords to go out, worked well.

Backlinks is truly one of the most important factors in the rankings .. section and the thing it is very effective if it is unique because google neglect of articles that have duplicate content. I am also a newbie here, but I continue to study on some important factors in SEO.

When doing my seo I use aboutus.org it is free and if you have a site you need to be listed there you can look at many diffrent hosting sites for instance godaddy.com when looking at the site and seeing how it is broken down I see that it has no hi. heading Problem 1 The home page for this website should have an H1 heading. Search engines look for this tag to determine what a page is about, and H1 headings are also useful for people. When looking at the meta kewords 1to10 only one as compared to detected keywords,1to10 only 5 (Title good.meta description (good First 250 words keywords detected 81 times top 50 keywords found at least once. when compaired to my site based on only this my site should be more attractive to search engines, What go daddy is doing is hording domain-names to sell to the highest bidder or at extrvigant prices all of which have a link pointing to godaddy what do they say 30 million alot of them are parked domains to be resold but they are links and have a page some that have rank,all showing oneway links pointing to godaddy, As my site has only a few links pointing to it , godaddy has a affilliate program all of its free afilliates are generating hits to that site from whatever traffic producing site e-mail whatever.As 1 person I cannot generate that much traffic going to my site without spending to much. Back linking is very important but when you get a link from someone make sure it is not from a site that spams or is not trusted as this will have a neg, affect on your site. Search engines have seed sites that have been manualy inserted as trusted sites these are the best sites to get a link from and can dermaticaly boost your rank but unfortunely they are hard to find and get. I think the most effective today is to focus on one or two main keywords of our website and use the content to the category of a longer tail them. SEO is not an easy task and it takes a lot to see the results of this ..

That is a good piece of information that you have been. The only prevalent in the current market these days most companies are trying to achieve and what the landscape is shown. I thing that you have a good keyword which is where most people choose to miss out on informed liked. A keyword with a little competition will provide better results.
